Take Me

Take me to some place

We can spend spent days again –

Let us up upon an astral wind

Tacking toward certain souce –

And be led to nights not ours –

Set our sights upon

Celestial towers of tyrian purple

Burning bright and brighter still…

No Expanse Crossed

The apocalyptic light cast
Over the sailors grave
By the perpetual burning orb
Lashes light and dark about
Like the great expanse that sinks
Proud men and their ship’s prowess-
Never to be seen or sought
Again by man-
After the waves dissipate
Replaced by black-
Tinged with white

A Single Tear Drop

It all led up to this.
A world against me, bartering with my life,
It drives through me like a knife,
Your years of endless strife,
Black badness grabs me from every turn and source.
I smiled through every stormy mile of my life.
I did not shout,
I showed not feeling,
I did not dare to try.
A crushing weight of dark and light,
Forced me to end this bottled night.
I cry,
A single teardrop,
Filled with my within.
A haze of coloured emotions fills my line of sight,
I crumple to the ground,
I am a broken man…

Ready to be fixed?…

The Few Stand

A tap on the pavement.
The world is a hard unforgiving place,
If you fall it will hurt like mad and you may never get up again.
Laying down here, you are surrounded by deep darkest cinders as you become as ash.
But up there is still as dark.
But living.
Living, breathing, permeating dark,
That blocks life’s light from ripping this black charade in two.
The many fall.
The few stand,
And the fewer fall and stand again,
And shout “I will”
“I will conquer this shadowy light-forsaken world.”

I Stand Alone.

I step through flowers in the rain,

Standing alone.

The rain pours, a million drops of silver.

Street lamps shine on the glistening fallings,

Like eyes of orange honey dripping, spreading through the watery air.

I look up,

into the above,

into the wet pinched globes rushing down.

I stare,

An abundance of glowing powers, some are dead,

but live on in our sight,

in our light.

Reflections of raindrops in each other,

All showing the powers of the infinite nocturnal sky.

Stand, look, stare and see-

The night is alive,

The stars are awake,

To the music of the skies.
